ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Jillian Vanselow

Jillian Vanselow is the Founder and Chairwoman of Core Recovery. She has dedicated her professional career to helping individuals struggling with mental health and addiction, with experience treating populations with diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and conditions. The cornerstone of her treatment philosophy centers on holistic, integrated care that looks beyond the presenting or primary issue(s), in an effort to reach the “core” challenges that must be overcome to enable the transformative breakthroughs that change lives. She built Core Recovery in that image, on those foundational beliefs. In addition to being an innovative treater and visionary leader, Jillian has worked with many community organizations and stakeholders to make her community a better place, including Habitat for Humanity, Ujima House, Neighborhood Ministries, Stand Up for Kids, Andre House, Christmas Angels, and Family Outreach. She received her Master’s Degree in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University, graduating with honors. When she is not making the outside world a better place, Jillian is enjoying time with her loving husband and three sons.
