Recovering from drug and alcohol addiction is not a battle that should be fought alone.

Addiction is a disease that affects millions of Americans each year. It is not a choice, but rather a complicated disease of both the brain and body. It involves the uncontrollable use of one or more substances by the afflicted individual.

Whether you or a loved one are suffering from addiction, help and hope can be found here at Core Recovery.

We can assist you in fighting your dependence on alcohol or chemical substance with a personalized treatment plan, compassionate care, and long-term recovery goals that meet you right where you are.

Recovery is possible. Let us help you get there.

What is addiction?

According to the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), addiction is defined as “a treatable, chronic medical disease involving complex interactions among brain circuits, genetics, the environment, and an individual’s life experiences.”

People with chemical dependence use substances and engage in harmful behaviors repeatedly without caution or care for long-term health and life consequences.

Addiction can vary in type and dependency, but the most common include a chemical dependency on alcohol or chemical substances, such as opioids.

Alcohol addiction is a physical or mental dependence on alcohol and is the number one addiction in the United States, affecting as many as 30% of Americans.

Chemical addictions, cocaine, methamphetamines, and crystal meth are challenging to end without help and can be very dangerous to quit alone or “cold turkey”. The same is also true of dependence on prescription opioid medications.

Long-term alcohol and substance use are detrimental to your health and wellness, and you should seek treatment immediately.

Signs and Symptoms of Addiction

Although alcohol and chemical dependency can affect everyone differently, there are common signs and symptoms:

The most common symptoms of addiction include the following:

An Individualized Treatment Approach at Core Recovery

Your recovery journey is personal to you. Your treatment plan will be based on a thorough diagnostic assessment focusing on the root cause of your behavior.

At Core Recovery, we provide two innovative treatment options:

  1. Intensive outpatient program (IOP) –a program created around evidence-based treatment strategies to meet the needs of each patient. Individuals in IOP for chemical dependency, trauma, and mental health attend group therapy sessions for a minimum of three hours, three to four days a week.
  2. Partial hospitalization program (PHP)—a more intense and rigorous program than IOP, PHP is designed for patients 18+ who would benefit from daily therapeutic interventions but may not require 24-hour care as they would receive in an inpatient care setting. Individuals in PHP attend a minimum of five hours of treatment a day, five days per week.

Your recovery journey is personal to you. Your treatment plan should be too.

After a thorough diagnostic assessment focusing on the root cause of your behavior, our expert team of addiction specialists will create a personalized plan that meets your short and long-term sobriety goals.

Your plan may include the following:

Chronic Pain and Addiction
