Our highly skilled team of experts at Core Recovery is passionate about providing the very best care in a respectful environment for each patient and their family.
Our experienced team works to help each patient build a solid foundation for a healthier and happier future on their road to recovery by working together to create a personalized treatment plan for every patient based on their unique needs.
Core Recovery offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for both adolescents and adults and a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adults. While they differ in structure, both IOP and PHP at Core Recovery are offered on an outpatient basis, and both offer individuals who are experiencing and struggling with mental health conditions, substance addiction or trauma the treatment and tools to return to a healthy daily routine and life.
Located in North Phoenix, Arizona, Core Recovery uses evidence-based techniques to offer comprehensive treatment programs.
After completing an initial assessment, the clinical team determines a diagnosis and makes a treatment recommendation. If the recommendation is for an IOP or PHP program, the Core Recovery team will work with each individual and their families to complete short and long-term treatment planning. At Core Recovery, we take an integrative therapeutic approach to all patient care.
Mental health, trauma, and addiction are daily struggles for millions of people each year. Finding the help you need shouldn’t be part of that struggle.
Let’s explore our life-changing programs in more detail, including what they are, what they help with, and how they operate.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
At Core Recovery, we provide an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that includes evidence-based treatment strategies to meet the individual needs of each one of our patients.
Individuals in Core Recovery’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for chemical dependency, trauma, and mental health attend group therapy sessions for a minimum of three hours, three to four days a week. The duration of IOP is tailored to each patient’s individual needs based on clinical assessment.
IOP is offered for adolescents (13-17 years old) and adults (18+), and we proudly offer morning, afternoon, and evening group therapy sessions.
In addition to group therapy sessions, patients generally receive other individualized care provided by our psychiatric nurse practitioner, masters-level clinicians, and behavioral health technicians working under the supervision of a licensed clinician. This includes weekly individual or family-systems therapy sessions.
Our psychiatric medication prescriber may also see program patients weekly to manage individual medication needs to ensure prescriptions meet the treatment plan’s goals.
Patients may also participate in creative expression art groups as an additional form of therapy and healing.
IOP is ideal for patients diagnosed and struggling with:
- Anxiety
- Co-occurring psychological disorders
- Depression
- Mental health issues
- Stress
- Substance abuse disorders
- Trauma
The length of the program is tailored to the patient and designed to create a transition to a happier, sober, and more rewarding life.
IOP offers:
- A bio-psychosocial approach to strengthening neglected areas of a patient’s life
- Relaxation and visualization techniques
- Encouragement and support that fosters positive beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and attitude
- Lessons on pro-social skills
Integrative Therapeutic Approach
At Core Recovery, every patient is treated with the utmost respect in an atmosphere that focuses solely on your recovery. We use evidence-based techniques for assessment diagnosis and treatment. Our highly-skilled team works together to build a comprehensive treatment plan to make you feel better.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
If you or a loved one needs help with a mental health condition, addiction, or both, after being discharged from an inpatient setting, Core Recovery partial hospitalization program may be the best next step for you.
Our partial hospitalization program is designed to create a transition between regular sober-focused intervention and a happier, more rewarding life after recovery.
At Core Recovery, we have a that provide an integrative treatment approach to stabilize acute issues in an outpatient setting for adults and adolescents through PHP.
PHP involves intensive group therapy sessions for mental health, chemical dependency, trauma. We proudly offer patients the flexibility to attend group sessions in either mornings, evenings, or both as needed. We also offer creative expression art therapy in a group setting.
Along with group sessions, PHP includes weekly individual or family therapy sessions and an individual appointment with our psychiatric provider.
We believe continued care is the best way to reach long-term sobriety and stable mental health.
The PHP program is a more intense and rigorous program than IOP. PHP is designed for patients who would benefit from daily therapeutic interventions but may not require-24-hour care as they would receive in an inpatient care setting.
Individuals in PHP attend a minimum of five hours of treatment a day, five days per week but return home every evening. The duration of PHP is tailored to each patient’s individual needs based on clinical assessment.
Core Recovery’s PHP treatment is designed for adults (18+).
The diagnoses Core Recovery treat with PHP include:
- Anxiety
- Bipolar Disorder (I and II)
- Depression
- Personality Disorders
- PTSD
- Substance abuse
- Alcohol misuse
- Trauma
We also help manage positive thought processes, feelings, and emotions and develop healthy coping mechanisms for the long run. We aim to increase healthy behaviors, self-awareness, and self-esteem through PHP care.
Your Support System Matters to Us
Whomever you consider family, we consider family.
We know that mental health and addiction are not isolated issues. Often, whole families are affected by this life season, which is why they should be involved in your next chapter of recovery.
Core Recovery believes family plays an essential role in the patient’s treatment and can lead to a more rewarding and successful outcome.
That’s why we offer a Family Systems Program committed to strengthening family relationships, educating the family on addiction, mental health, and the support that exists for the family themselves.
During your treatment, a parent, guardian, spouse, or partner is encouraged to attend a family systems therapy session once a week with their loved one to learn how to navigate this next chapter together.
We believe that ongoing support during and after treatment is necessary for our patients’ redirection of their lives and sobriety.
