Treating the Whole Person, Not Just the Addiction

Core Recovery is a state of Arizona licensed outpatient mental health facility. We use evidence-based techniques for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to ensure you receive the top-level care you need from day one.

Meeting the behavioral health needs of the whole person under one roof. That’s the integrated care model Jillian Vanselow felt was critically needed when she started Core Recovery in 2013. “Insurance companies often dictate the type of care people are able to receive from one care provider,” says Jillian, CEO. “Having five different providers, each treating a different aspect of a person’s mental health needs doesn’t work.

“At Core Recovery, we’re focused on meeting the needs of the whole person, whether insurance pays or not.”

While Core Recovery specializes in treating addiction, it’s approach focuses on addressing the core issue, the WHY … the true cause of the addiction. And that approach can take on the need for additional services. Rather than send the patient to another facility for that additional treatment, let’s say, pain management for example, the patient can get those services at Core Recovery.

With this integrated approach, Core Recovery’s services are expansive and complete, providing treatment for depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, grief, and more, servicing adults, children, adolescents, and families.

Grandmother’s Addiction Defines Her Path

Jillian’s passion for helping others grew from her inability to help her grandmother who died of opioid addiction when Jillian was just 17 years old. “I decided I wanted to help people because I couldn’t help her,” says Jillian. “When I was old enough, I learned everything I could about addiction. I learned that most who struggle with addiction have an underlying mental health issue that hasn’t been addressed.”

People are often in denial that there’s a problem, or don’t realize that there is someone who can help them deal with not only their addiction, but their underlying mental health issue as well. Once they do, treatment and recovery can begin, explains Jillian

Delivering Hope

It’s the best part of her job … giving people hope. Hope that they will recover. Hope that their loved one will get help. “I call my staff hope dealers because we give people the hope they need to set them on the road to recovery,” says Jillian.

But first, people need to know help is available and how to find it. That’s why Jillian is looking for ways to reach out to those in need through awareness and education. Here’s where cloudCreative comes in.

Reaching Out with Social Media

Core Recovery began working with cloudCreative earlier this year to help with their outreach efforts. Knowing little about social media, Jillian partnered with cloudCreative to boost their social presence and SEO results. “We are excited to increase our visibility in the community with help from cloudCreative so we can help more people in need, especially with the increased anxiety caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Jillian. “I know there are more people who need our help.”

“I was amazed at the level of care and compassion shown by Jillian and her staff at Core Recovery,” says Jennifer Calhoun, co-founder at cloudCreative. “It’s been a great experience getting to know their business and helping them to expand their reach to those who really need their help.”
