How Can PHP Help Me?
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Core Recovery provides intensive outpatient treatment for those living with addiction and other mental health issues. Our outpatient treatment program offers a variety of rigorous individual and group therapy sessions and activities for several hours each day.
Patients participate in the scheduled treatment during the day and return home in the evening.
What to Expect from Our Program
While every patient’s care is different, a typical day may consist of an individual and group therapy session, mental health education, skill-building practice, periodic evaluations, and more. You will have a team of licensed mental health professionals to conduct all of these activities with you.
Your PHP treatment options may include:
- Individual therapy/counseling
- Family systems
- Case management
- Medication management
- EMDR services
- Five hours of treatment per day, 5 days per week
- A dedicated treatment team to facilitate care and collaborate with outside providers
- Emphasis on developing values-oriented behaviors, learning and practicing recovery skills and developing healthy support systems to sustain recovery following discharge
As a fully certified and licensed treatment center, Core Recovery has staff psychiatrist nurse practitioners for medication management if needed. Family therapy sessions may be included in in your program if needed. Having a support system is an essential aspect of recovery. So if it makes sense, your family may be involved in your treatment plan.
Scheduling and programming will depend on your individual needs. Core uses a diverse inventory of therapy techniques to treat the entire person. Your program will be individually designed to offer you the best road map to your success and recovery.
The Partial Hospitalization Program allows for intensive treatment without the overnight requirements of a residential program that may cause you to feel a loss of freedom. You are an active participant in your own treatment.

How Long Is the Partial Hospitalization Program?
Core Recovery’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) group therapy sessions for chemical dependency, trauma, and mental health are offered Monday through Friday in the mornings and evenings. This allows those attending to maintain their employment and education status while seeking help.
Also included each week is an individual therapy session, a session with our psychiatric medication provider, and creative expression art groups if you’d like to participate.
The length of the program is tailored to the patient’s clinical assessment and designed to create a transition to a happier and more rewarding life.
We offer programs designed for adolescents (13-17 years old) and for adults (18+).
